1. What this notice covers
This notice explains what the TIDEMARK site stores in your browser, and why.
The site uses only strictly necessary browser storage. It keeps this data in the session storage of your current browser tab. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab.
2. What the site stores
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
tm_cart | Holds the items in your cart: product, size and quantity. | This browser tab, until closed |
tm_orders | Holds the summary of the order you placed, so that it can be shown to you. | This browser tab, until closed |
tm_acct | Remembers that you are signed in during this visit. | This browser tab, until closed |
tm_ck | Remembers that you closed the storage notice, so that it is not shown again in this tab. | This browser tab, until closed |
These items are technical entries in the session storage of your browser. They are not used to follow you across other websites or across later visits, because they disappear when the tab is closed.
3. What the site does not use
- No analytics
- No advertising cookies and no tracking cookies
- No third-party cookies
If we ever add anything beyond strictly necessary storage, we will update this notice first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
4. Why we do not ask for consent
The storage in section 2 is strictly necessary to provide the service you ask for: a cart that keeps your items, a signed-in state and an order summary. For storage of this kind, Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) provides an exemption from the consent requirement. The Hungarian rules in Act C of 2003 on Electronic Communications follow the same approach. This is why the site has no consent banner.
The small storage notice at the bottom of the page is there for your information. When you close it with OK, the site stores the tm_ck entry so that the notice does not appear again in this tab.
5. How to remove stored data
Close the browser tab. This removes everything listed in section 2: your cart is emptied, you are signed out, and the order summary and the notice flag are deleted.
To remove the data while the tab is open, use the settings of your browser: look for the section on cookies and site data, and delete the data stored for this site. The help pages of your browser describe the exact steps.
6. More information and changes
How we handle personal data that you give us, for example when you place an order, is described in our Privacy policy.
For questions about this notice, write to hello@tidemark.site. We update this notice when the site changes how it stores data. The date of the current version is shown at the top of this page.
